Corporate Housing Solutions is receiving a large number of inquiries from property owners wanting to rent out their residence during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. We have set up this webpage to answer some of your questions and to let you know how we can facilitate the process. 

Corporate Housing Solutions is a company that has been in business in Denver since 1980.  We provide temporary furnished and unfurnished housing options to our clients all over the metro area through apartments and privately owned condos, townhomes and homes.  Normally our clients are looking for housing options for 30 days and longer.  However, for the 2008 DNC convention, there seems to be a unique need for housing options other than hotels.  This is partly due to the large number of visitors and their desire for more space and amenities than hotel rooms can offer. 

We are providing local property owners an opportunity to rent out their residences for a week or more surrounding this convention with the aid of our services.  We want this national exposure to reflect well on our city, we want our guests to enjoy their stay and we want to help property owners have a pleasant rental experience.

If you decide to let us help you, here is a list of some of the services we can provide to both the property owners and the guests who will be renting the properties:

  • •         Advertising the property for rent
  •          Credit and criminal checks on the prospective renter
  •          Assistance with the lease agreement
  •          Collecting and holding the money for the security of both parties
  •          Inspecting the property to verify condition and ownership
  •          Providing information on special tax rules related to limited rental income
  •          Providing access to vendors for maid services, minor repairs, and concierge services
We plan to serve as an agent for the property owner and the tenant. All financial transactions will be handled through us to help insure that all of the terms of the deal are observed fairly for both parties. We will run a credit check and a criminal background screening on all prospective tenants and make that information available to the property owner.

Each property owner will be expected to present his property in a clean and move-in ready condition as specified in our Move-in Ready Condition Form.   Examples would include:  removal of clothing, personal items in the bathrooms and open food items in the kitchen/pantry.  Please keep in mind that the tenant will be in your property for a week or more, they will need to have uncluttered space for their clothes and personal effects.  We recommend that each property owner contact his insurance agent to verify that his homeowner's coverage is adequate during the rental term.
